These granules kill the queen and colony in as little as 48 hours with a formula that needs no watering. Use the convenient shaker bottle to apply the ant killer outdoors on fire ant mounds and ant nests, or use it as a broadcast treatment in your lawn to control ants (except carpenter and pharaoh ants). This ant treatment can treat up to 3,000 square feet of the lawn when applied as a broadcast treatment. Apply the outdoor ant killer in the early spring or summer at the first sign of ant activity for best results. Reapply again in the fall to reduce the number of ants that return next spring. This granular product is also a fire ant bait, so you will initially see more ants. Red ant killer also limits the formation of new ant mounds.
